Client Base
McGrath & Grace serves the immediate investigatory needs of companies throughout the United States for whom the price point of a national or multinational law firm is not an economically viable option.  The Firm’s practice complements the in-house oversight functions of the client, as well as its representation by outside transaction and litigation counsel, thereby allowing these units to more effectively pursue their core missions.  It is critical that this independent investigatory demand of companies both large and small be served, as the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and other federal and state codes are applicable to all corporations, partnerships, and other entities, regardless of size.  And where debarment from participation in government contract work is a potential death penalty for business up and down supply and vendor chains, failing to conduct an independent internal investigation is not an option.

Tailored Offerings

McGrath & Grace’s practice is size-tailored to the needs of both the client and the scope of the individual investigation.  In each instance, a supervising attorney and team of investigators under his direction conduct their fact-finding inquiries on-site, and with limited intrusion upon the business activities of the client.  That counsel orchestrates and oversees all facets of the investigation and the fact that investigators act as agents of the Firm is critical not only to maintaining a centralized and focused inquiry, but also to establishing and maintaining the attorney-client and work-product privileges.  McGrath & Grace works under the direction of the client, and upon the conclusion of its inquiry, presents its findings and action-item recommendations to the company in its preferred medium.

Investigatory Experience and Expertise

McGrath & Grace’s attorney principals have together directed and undertaken more than 3,500 investigations of economic and non-economic crimes, as well as internal ethics inquiries within government agencies and private businesses.  In addition, they are supported by former federal and state law enforcement officers under their direct supervision, each with hundreds of like investigations to their credit.  Whether attorney or not, all of the firm’s on-site personnel are highly skilled and have received federal and state government commendations for their superior investigative work.
